COCKROACH CONTROL, TREATMENT, AND PROGRAMS

Servicing

Mahoning County – Trumbull County- Columbiana County

There are around 50 types of roaches in the United States. The roach prefers a warm, humid, dark environment and is normally  found in tropical or other mild climates. Only 4 species are known to become pests. The insect damages more material than it consumes and emits an odor. Some species of concern are American Roaches, Brown Banded Roaches, German Cockroaches, and Wood Cockroaches. The insects are scavengers and will feed on a wide variety of foods. They prefer starches, sweets, grease, and meat products. In many areas, garbage is a principal food source.

Cockroaches do spread bacteria, protozoans, and viruses. Different forms of gastroenteritis appear to be the primary illness caused by cockroaches. Cockroach droppings and cast skins also contain a number of allergens which some people are allergic to; some physical reaction include skin rashes, watery eyes, sneezing, congestion, and asthma.

Every case is different. Using a professional is the key to a successful treatment, that is why Structural Pest Management is here for you.

Evidence of Cockroaches

Cockroaches are attracted to all types of food available in your home, and will eat anything from food, paper, plastics and fabrics. If you suspect a cockroach problem in your home or business there are some simple ways to tell. An established cockroach infestation produces a persistent and foul odor that contaminates items they contact. If water is available cockroaches will produce brown to black droppings and brown irregular shaped smear marks. Check for marks on surfaces and at wall-floor joints where cockroaches run along. Furthermore, cockroaches shed their skins 5-8 times as they mature to adults. These shed skins are usually found close to where the cockroaches have nested. Typical places to check for cockroach infestations are bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, basements, and drains.

Structural Pest Cockroach Program

Our service pro will perform a complete inspection to verify that the pest you are having is roaches. He will then inform you of the most effective way to control your problem. Depending on the level of the infestation, he will begin treatment on the interior by treating all baseboards. He will also make bait placements in the kitchen and bathroom cupboards.

Your roach treatment has been designed specifically to target the roach egg.

We highly recommend you receive a minimum of 3 monthly visits for complete control. This is due to the the cockroach eggs that can take 2 weeks to 90 days to hatch.

There is some preparation work involved; we ask that you empty all kitchen and bathroom cupboards so we can treat them with a liquid treatment. If you choose not to empty them we can still bait the cupboards but the process may take longer to work. Please note, we will not treat any personal property.

*If we are treating a mobile home, this program will come with a LIMITED warranty. If you would like to have the crawl space treated you would need to make the area accessible to the service pro by removing the skirting and Structural will treat the accessible areas.*

IF FOR ANY REASON YOU NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE, WE WOULD NEED TO KNOW BY 4PM THE DAY BEFORE SERVICE TO AVOID BEING CHARGED A SERVICE CALL FEE.

Results of control are determined by current infestation level, preparation for treatments, sanitation conditions and communication with Structural Pest.

Tips For Cockroach Prevention
